Piney River Ranch in Vail, Colorado
The bumpy, unpaved drive from Vail city center to Piney River Ranch is worth the car sickness that may happen. When Nicole shared that she wanted fall colors, mountain scenes, and the ability to be both casual and dressy in her engagement photos, I knew just where to take them. Piney River Ranch is an amazing location that also has cabins and canoes you can rent for a fun weekend away from the city. The fall colors and complementary outfits were a perfect match to Nicole and Jason’s giddy love.
Meet the couple:
Nicole and Jason originally met as friends in 2011, and then lost touch for 7 years!! Nicole posted an image on Instagram that caught Jason’s attention and gave him the courage to slide into her DMs. They chatted for a bit, and then took the plunge into being “more than friends” by going on their first date to a Nuggets game. Both being Colorado natives, they loved Nuggets games, but they ended up talking through this entire game! When you find someone who you’d rather talk to than watch a Nuggets game, you’ve met your soulmate. 🙂 Jason proposed to Nicole on June 2, 2020, in the exact location where the original Instagram post was taken, and the rest is history! I had so much fun exploring Piney River Ranch with these two, and I cannot wait for their wedding at the Vail Nordic Center in September 2021!
