Jenn and Eric first met at FOCOMx, a northern Colorado local band event. As they described spotting each other through the crowd and standing out because they’re both very tall, I couldn’t help but smile. Their love story is straight out of a movie! They danced the night away, talking about the importance of family, and the rest is history!
Baby Shedd Has Arrived!
If you’ve been following along for a little while, you know that my husband and I have been expecting our first child! Good news–She arrived!!
Brainard Lake Engagement Photos | Tori & Luke
Tori and Luke have been inseparable from their first date. They are the definition of “when you know, you know.” I had such a fun time at Brainard Lake with them! When it started raining, these two didn’t run for their car. Instead, we embraced the rain. Luke and Tori kicked off their shoes and got in the water for some of my favorite photos.
Here’s The Answer to The One Question I Get Asked Most
When I chat with a prospective wedding couple, I can always rely on one question being asked: What is it like to work with you?
I get it! Choosing a wedding photographer is a commitment. Your wedding photographer will be part of your wedding experience and help you remember your big moments for YEARS to come! Making sure we’re a good fit together is very important to me. I take ten steps with every couple when I have the honor of being their wedding photographer:
Boulder Sunrise Engagement Photos | Victoria & John
Sunrises in the summer months are always a commitment to wake up in time for, but they are always 100000x worth it. When I asked Victoria and John to meet me at sunrise in Boulder, their response was “We are suckers for sunrises!” We met in Boulder at Chautauqua Park and together soaked in all the morning light. Victoria and John are such sweethearts! I love working with couples who are madly in love, and these two are no exception. Every time I asked them to share a memory with each other or look into each other’s eyes, they just BEAMED!! Enjoying time together is one of their favorite things to do, and I’m thankful that they invited me to join in and document these special moments.
University of Notre Dame Wedding
In honor of their fourth wedding anniversary, let’s dedicate #throwbackthursday to Marie & Xander!
On July 23, 2016, Marie and Xander Hathaway said “I do” inside the University of Notre Dame Cathedral. After graduating from the university, it was only fitting that they took the next life step together by getting married in the place they fell in love. I couldn’t agree more, and I was absolutely honored for the opportunity to photograph within the Norte Dame Cathedral and the Notre Dame Stadium!
Vail Engagement Photos at Piney River Ranch | Ashley & Jon
Imagine an engagement session with a Shasha Fierce vibe, and that is what you’ll find when you look through this Colorado engagement shoot! For those of you who don’t know, Shasha Fierce is Beyoncé’s alter ego. Ashley and Jon are nothing less than fierce!
Colorado Outdoor Wedding Styled Shoot
Colorado wildlife, lush forests, and amazing vendors and models–photographing this styled shoot was a dream! Up in the mountains in Bailey, Colorado, we visited Deer Mountain Camp, a wedding venue that was once a summer camp. This styled shoot was in the works since February, and I’m so excited to share it! #worththewait
Planning Your Wedding with the Coronavirus in Mind
It’s safe to say that 2020 has thrown us all A LOT of curveballs.

5 Steps to Take Better Photos of Your Kids At Home
Spring is my favorite time of year to take Family Portrait and Mini-Sessions. However, with the coronavirus affecting us this spring, I’ve postponed or canceled many of my spring sessions. Covid-19 has not stopped your children from growing like weeds, though, and I would hate if you missed out on documenting this time of their lives because you couldn’t hire a photographer. To help you create your own photography session at home, here are 5 steps you can take to take better photos of your kids at home:
