The 2020 wedding season was a rollercoaster for most of us. Date changes, location restrictions, and limited guest sizes became the norm. But what will the 2021 wedding season look like? Will the couples who have already postponed their wedding get to happily dance the night away? Rather than Googling and hoping for the best, I went straight to the source–The Planning, Prevention, and Partnerships Manager of Pitkin County Public Health. AKA one of my current brides! Laryssa is a wonderful source for learning how COVID-19 will be affecting your 2021 (and 2022) weddings.
Brainard Lake Engagement Photos | Beth & Bryan
Have you seen the chick-flick where the maid of honor falls in love with one of the groomsmen? That storyline isn’t just a chick-flick, it’s the beginning of Beth and Bryan’s love story!
In 2018, Beth was the maid-of-honor of at a good friend’s wedding in Nebraska and Bryan was a groomsman. After a weekend of wedding bliss, the groom handed Beth two phone numbers and said, “Well, two of my groomsmen want to move to Oregon for you.” Luckily for Bryan, he was the only groomsman she was interested in.
Favorite Engagement Photos of 2020
Every December I like to take the time to reflect on the previous year. Although the 2020 wedding season didn’t go as planned, I’ve been lucky to be a part of multiple stunning engagement sessions and micro weddings this year in Colorado! I moved to Fort Collins 1 year ago, and I am absolutely blown away by Colorado’s natural beauty! I’ve learned that this state is full of beautiful scenery and beautiful people–inside and out. You all are amazing!!
As a celebration of surviving 2020, please help me pick out your favorite engagement photos.
Breckenridge Proposal | Bindhu & Tim
Trying to propose with a romantic surprise during a pandemic can be a challenge. Luckily, the third proposal Tim planned worked like a charm! #shesaidyes
Vail Engagement Photos | Nicole & Jason
First meeting in 2011, Nicole and Jason started out as friends. After losing touch for seven years, Jason slid into Nicole’s DMs! Who says Instagram is only for scrolling? This Vail Engagement session will show you what happens when good people come together!

“We tell each other all the time that we are both the one person for the other that we could spend an eternity with and it would still never be enough.”
My Editing Style | Before & Afters
One thing that sets me apart from other photographers is that I’ve worked as a professional photo editor for years.
My background in photo editing can help transform your image from bland to magical using more than just a simple preset. Here are a few examples:
Boulder Engagement Photos | Afua & Kyle
Everyone can agree that there are a lot of beautiful Boulder Engagement Photography locations. We originally planned for a Chautauqua Park evening shoot, but when I offered to drive up to Lost Gulch Overlook as well, thankfully Afua and Kyle agreed to the extra adventure! Lost Gulch Overlook is an easy drive up Flagstaff Road, and completely worth the view.
Frequently Asked Questions
Earlier this month, I posted about the single most asked question that I receive from prospective wedding couples.
Many of you wrote in with other questions, wanting to know more!
Here are all of the questions that I get asked frequently, along with their answers. If you have more questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m happy to help.
Fort Collins Engagement Photos | Jenn & Eric
Jenn and Eric first met at FOCOMx, a northern Colorado local band event. As they described spotting each other through the crowd and standing out because they’re both very tall, I couldn’t help but smile. Their love story is straight out of a movie! They danced the night away, talking about the importance of family, and the rest is history!
