Last week’s blog was an in-depth look at what we can expect for the 2021 & 2022 wedding seasons in terms of the coronavirus. Check it out here if you haven’t read it yet! I interviewed the Planning, Prevention, and Partnerships Manager of Pitkin County Public Health to hear how the distribution of the Covid vaccine was going in Colorado. She was kind enough to share advice for current couples planning their wedding during these uncertain times. She knows exactly what you’re going through because she’s going through it, too! Laryssa, is fighting Covid during the day and planning her wedding at night. A 2021 superhero! This week I’m excited to share her and her fiancé’s engagement photos, and cannot wait for their 2022 wedding.
Meet Laryssa & Riley
The first thing I learned about Laryssa and Riley was that they are each other’s rocks. They met at a time when they were both overcoming life-changing obstacles. They became fast friends, and their relationship is built on a foundation of trust and support, which I think is absolutely beautiful.
Being friends first definitely has its perks. They are each other’s best friends! Throughout their engagement session, they were full of smiles and giddy laughter. Every once in a while I’d give a posing prompt like “remember the first time you told your partner you loved them.” and I’d see a little eye-watering or a hidden tear. Their love is so pure it made me tear up just watching them!
Laryssa & Riley made the jump from Texas to Colorado in 2019. They pulled up in a Uhaul and found out the hard way that their driveway was iced over! Working together to get the Uhaul up their new driveway after such a long trip definitely tested their relationship. Thankfully the challenge inspired Riley to propose that day! Although half of their time here in Colorado has been in quarantine, they’ve been able to get out and explore with their 3 cute dogs! They recently made the difficult decision to move their wedding from 2021 to 2022 to ensure that their family and friends would be able to safely celebrate with them. There’s not a doubt in my mind that their wedding will be worth the wait!
