Hillary and Taylor arrive at Bride’s getting ready location to photograph flat lays.
Note: It’s extremely helpful to have your detail items collected in a box for when I arrive. We’ll talk through ideas of what to include before your wedding!
Hillary and Taylor return to Bride’s getting ready location.
Taylor then leaves for Groom’s getting ready location, while Hillary photographs the Ladies.
Note: Ideally by the time we arrive, hair and makeup is already wrapping up. If something is going to delay the beginning of the day, it’s often HAMU.
Groom + Groomsmen depart for ceremony site.
Bride and bridesmaids depart for ceremony location.
The first look takes place.
The First Look can take place at the getting ready location, ceremony, or reception location. It’s up to you! Although we’re happy to make recommendations.
Happy Couple Portraits
& Wedding Party Portraits
This normally takes about an hour total. We usually start with just you two, then add on the entire wedding party as time allows before the ceremony.
The ceremony takes place.
Note: We do family portraits right after the ceremony because everyone you need will be easy to grab. If you can give your family notice that we’ll be taking pictures immediately after the ceremony, that will also ensure that no one wanders off. We’ll help you create a list of family portraits before the big day.
Additional Bridal Party
& Happy Couple Portraits
Note: Depending on what was taken before the ceremony, we might grab 1 or 2 more full bridal party shots and photos of the two of you!
The great thing about doing a First Look is that it gives you more time to make your timeline your own. If you’d like to attend your Cocktail Hour and/or spray champagne you’re more than welcome to!
Introductions & First Dance
I find that this can be the perfect spot in your timeline for your First Dance. You will be the last to be introduced from the Wedding Party, and your introduction can lead right into your First Dance.
Welcome toasts & salads followed by speeches and entrees.
We’ll make sure to grab you two about 45 minutes before the sunsets. This is usually the best light of the day!
Cake cutting followed by bouquet toss.
Please feel free to mix and match your wedding timeline!
For example, Afua & Kyle did most of their photos earlier, so they could dance the night away schedule free.
but the party continues!
