to THE WEDDING GUIDE

12:00 P.M.

Hillary and Taylor arrive at Bride’s getting ready location to photograph flat lays.

Note: It’s extremely helpful to have your detail items collected in a box for when I arrive. We’ll talk through ideas of what to include before your wedding!

1 P.M.

Hillary and Taylor return to Bride’s getting ready location.
Taylor then leaves for Groom’s getting ready location, while Hillary photographs the Ladies.

Note: Ideally by the time we arrive, hair and makeup is  wrapping up. If something is going to delay the beginning of the day, it’s often HAMU.

2:00 P.M.

Groom + groomsmen depart for ceremony site & take pre-ceremony group photos.

2:15 P.M.

Bride and bridesmaids depart for ceremony location and take pre-ceremony group photos.

3:00 P.M.

The ceremony takes place.

3:30 P.M.

Family portraits.

Note: We do family portraits right after the ceremony because everyone you need will be easy to grab. If you can give your family notice that we’ll be taking pictures immediately after the ceremony, that will also ensure that no one wanders off. We’ll help you create a list of family portraits before the big day.

4:00 P.M.

Wedding Party Portraits
 & Happy Couple Portraits

Depending on what was taken before the ceremony, this normally takes about an hour total. We usually start with the entire wedding party, and then break off so you two can have photos and alone time before the reception.

5:30 P.M.

Introductions & Welcome Toasts

I find that this can also be the perfect spot in your timeline for your First Dance. You will be the last to be introduced from the Wedding Party, and your introduction can lead right into your First Dance.

6:00 P.M.

Welcome toasts & salads followed by speeches and entrees.

7:30 P.M.

Sunset Portraits

I’ll make sure to grab you two about 45 minutes before the sunsets. This is usually the best light of the day!

Tori & Luke preferred to take their “sunset portraits” during blue hour to embrace their venue’s lights. This is just a reminder that these are example timelines and your wedding is up to you!

8:00 P.M.

Dancing begins

8:30 P.M.

Cake cutting followed by bouquet toss.

You can mix and match to make your reception totally you.

10:00 P.M.

Photographers Depart,
but the party continues!
