Who needs a little inspiration to help get us through the week? Today I’m excited to share the wedding publications I visit when I’m looking for inspiration. These publications are full of romance, beautiful images, and heartfelt advice. In no particular order, here my favorite wedding publications:
RMB is well known for wedding & engagement inspiration up and down the Rockies, from New Mexico to British Columbia! One of my favorite things that they offer is local Wedding Guides where you can find wedding inspiration in a specific area. Here are the guides to Estes Park and Summit County, for example!
Couture Colorado describes itself as Denver & Colorado’s leading wedding resource, and I would have to agree! You’ll find wedding inspiration specific to Colorado, and see real weddings in the places you know and love.
Wedding inspiration from the mountains! All mountains are welcome here, and I’ve enjoyed seeing how wedding trends vary from region to region. For example, check out this romantic wedding from Napa vs this flowery elopement in Asheville, and of course Denver, Vail/Beaver Creek, and Estes Park.
I fell in love with High Country Brides when they shared this quote in honor of International Women’s Day, “The wild woman speaks with her own voice, walks her path fiercely, talks with grace and dignity. She dances to the rhythm of her own drum.” May you all dance to the rhythm of your own drum, and may we all dance together!
Although The Colorado Wedding Magazine has been around for ages, it’s recently been given a facelift! I LOVE the new look of the magazine and the content being shared truly helps couples remain well rounded while planning their wedding. Take a look at this article all about managing anxieties before getting married! It takes more than pretty weddings to prepare for marriage, and The Colorado Wedding Magazine has you covered!
Wedding Chicks was one of the first wedding publications I ever started following! Last year when I was featured in their blog I just about fainted! If you’re looking for gorgeous, approachable wedding inspiration, this is the site for you.
If you’re planning a DIY (Do It Yourself) wedding, Green Wedding Shoes is a great resource! In addition to sharing real weddings, GWS shares how-to’s on everything from floral arrangements to hair & make-up. I also want to give a shout-out to this engagement shoot in a field of Ranunculus! Who wants to take their engagement photos in a field of flowers? Contact me ASAP!
The Knot is a HUGE resource for wedding planning that I’m sure you know and love, but do you know of their smaller blog that focuses on engagement and proposals? I’m obsessed! Here you can find gorgeous engagement photos and inspirational proposal stories. Need some ideas on how to pop the question? Well, here you go!
Although I shoot with digital cameras, film photography always makes my heart beat faster. I love the way the greens are faded and the skin tones are richer. Magnolia Rouge is a New Zealand blog that focuses on film aesthetics for weddings. I am constantly inspired by the galleries they share, and I’d love to hear what you think of the look of film photography.
Building on the film aesthetic and adding the classical light and airy look, Style Me Pretty is one of the best-known wedding blogs out there. I feel swept up in romance every time I look at the way flowers and details are highlighted throughout this blog. For example, this intimate coastal COVID-19 wedding makes me swoon!
I’m finishing off this list with one of the biggest names in the business, Martha Stewart. In college, I studied color theory, and we spent an entire class analyzing the cover colors used by Martha Stewart’s magazines. Everything that is published here is intentional and features only the best of the best! #bucketlistpublication
There are many MANY more wedding publications out there, but these are my favorites right now! Do you have a favorite one that’s not on the list? Let me know, and I’d love to check it out!
One of my 2021 goals is to get published in as many of these publications as I can. I’ve been lucky enough to work with a handful of them and would be absolutely honored to be featured again in others. Would you like to help me with this goal? Contact me today, and be sure to share which publication you’d love to be featured in! Let’s work together to make it happen.
